Christmas mood is officially on! This layout shows me wearing Santa’s hat at work 😀 I work in retail, so Christmas for me begins at the beginning of November, but this year I couldn’t really feel it until last week! For example I usually do my Christmas shopping in October (to avoid the hysterical crowd) but this year I only started last week (and I avoided the crowd anyway by buying everything online)! For the layout I’ve used paper from Doodlebug’s Santa Express collection!
I’ve seen this bus many times around the city, but it was always moving and I was so curious to know what was it, if it was some publicity for some brand or just someone particularly eccentric. Then last month it was parked in piazza Cordusio, it was open and I finally found out what was it: there was a band inside playing and singing! It was so fun! For the layout I’ve used the Stitched collection by Amy Tangerine plus some of Shimelle’s die cuts.
After a few years in which I’ve been doing different things, I have again a seasonal job in a shop for the Christmas season. We call the Christmas seasonal workers natalino/a, so I’m once again a natalina! I’ve used the November Studio Calico kits.
Autumn is almost over and today I have this year last (but never say never) two project about my favourite season, a mini album and a 12×12 page. Both are made with the Friendly Forest collection by Doodlebug, a super colourful collection with all the little icons I love about autumn: leaves, acorns, cute little foxes and owls! The only missing things are the apples!
The layout is about reading in the park in autumn, when it’s not that cold yet, but it’s already less crowded and peaceful than in the warmer months. In this photo I’m reading ‘The Tales of Beedle the Bard’
The mini album is about what I love the most about this season. The photo with the pumpkins is not mine, I found it on Google, and this is the link to its original source http://bayberryinn.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Pumpkin.jpg the other photos are of course mine.
I can’t believe I did, but I finally finished my November’s gratitude journal! I’ve used the gorgeous Sweater Weather collection by Simple Stories, I’ve cut some of the 12×12 pages in the shapes of different leaves and I mixed them with the 6×4, 3×4 and 4×4 cards included in the collection. With all the pages a different size and shape it looks a bit messy, but I like messy, so it’s ok! I took inspiration from my own pinterest board http://www.pinterest.com/danielamarucci/scrapbooking-november-daily-inspiration/ and one of the Studio Calico classes, Gratitude Documented by Shanna Noel. Here it is, if you click on the first image you can watch it as a slideshow!
In November I attended the Van Gogh exhibition currently held at Palazzo Reale. I’ve made this layout to document it in my album. I’ve used the Amy Tangerine Stitched collection.
It’s already been two months since I’ve started this blog! I am very pleased with it: it’s looking exactly how I wanted to, and I have a handful of followers and also a handful of visits everyday 🙂 I’ve made a layout to celebrate it and I’m afraid I may have gone a little overboard with the gold! I’ve used paper, stickers and rub-ons from the Shimelle collection and stickers and vellum from Maggie Holmes Open Book collection by
