One margarita, two margaritas

Believe me when I say that this is really not a habit!  At the end of December I went to the pub where my sister was working and ordered two margaritas, with an empty stomach, enough to send me home staggering. And when I got home everybody laughed at me :/

For the layout I’ve used Studio Calico January kits. When I first saw the cork circles I thought I would never use them but I’m pretty satisfied with how they look on this page!

Sugar, spice, and my little sister

6littlesisterdet2Two layouts to share today, both made with Doodlebug collection Lovebugs.

For the first one I’ve chosen one of my oldest photos, I was about two years old and I was riding my old tricycle. I loved the idea of making a layout with circles and the cute papers in this collection were perfect to do so. 5sugar

The second layout shows me and my little sister when I was twelve and she was only 5 months, she really was my living doll!6littlesister

Gelatos and happiness

I’ve just bought my first set of gelatos. And what’s the first thing to try with a new set of gelatos? A rainbow of course! Happiness is my word for 2015: I’ve been focusing on the wrong kind of happiness all my life, that is the happiness made of ‘when’ and ‘if’, this year instead is all about the happiness made of ‘now’ and ‘little things’! For this project I’ve used gelatos, and ephemera and embellishments from Dear Lizzy Serendipity collection.

Ready to shine

Finally made the cover for my 2015 12×12 album! I love the moon pad that was in one of the Studio Calico’s January add-ons, I’d like to have more of those moons! This page represents my intention to make 2015 a wonderful year and to be happy and successful. Papers and embellishments are from Studio Calico January kit and from the Sparkle class kit 14shine

@ the craft fair

We have a annual craft fair here in Milan (in the first week of December) that gathers thousands of craftsmen from all over the world and it’s so huge that it’s impossible to visit it all in one day! There are also performers, dancers and… mountains of food from the five continents! I usually start with the Asian and Middle Eastern countries, where I usually find my favourite products and food. This year I went with my mother and took an impossible number of photos. Some can already be seen in my December Daily, and now I’ve made three layouts to share with you! They’re made with Studio Calico December and January kits.

The first layout shows me and my mother taking a selfie on our way to the exhibition center.  The background paper, alphas and some embellishments are from Amy Tangerine Stitched collection (the alphas have been painted with pink nail polish)13@thecraftfair

The second layout is about food, the photo shows one of the spices stands: I love spices and I am always hypnotized by those little mountains of magic powders! Papers and embellishments are from the Studio Calico January kit and add ons. The flowers have been cut with Dear Lizzy Serendipity dies.11spices

And lastly a layout about a the wonderful surprise of finding a band from Edinburgh performing in one of the stands! I love Scotland and was very happy to find a little piece of it here at home! Papers are from the Heidi Swapp September Skies collection and were included in one of the Studio Calico December add-ons. 12scotland

Serious me and the rolled flowers

This picture is a classic example of how I always looked so serious in photos when I was a child! For this page I’ve tried the rolled flower die from the Dear Lizzy Serendipity collection and the flowers are absolutely lovely! I’ve also used some paper and embellishments from Amy Tangerine Stitched and stamps from Heidi Swapp.4lovely
