Hot chocolate

26hotcocoadet2

Who can resist a cup of hot chocolate during cold winter afternoons? Certainly not me. I don’t even try 😛 This layout was inspired by Wilna Furstenberg Color Theory class at Studio Calico. I loved the class and I’m so sad it is over now!

Happy places and movie goals

22lovethisdet2

If there’s one thing I like to do (well, no, I like to do so many things) but I really do love going to the movies, I usually go at least once a week, except for summer, when there’s not much offer. I really find it quiet and relaxing. I have the goal for 2015 to see at least 52 movies, it’s not exactly once a week because of summer but I suppose I can make it, can’t I?

Here’s a layout made with Studio Calico Cirque kit, plus extras from Dear Lizzy Serendipity and Heidi Swapp.

A little piece of winter

24notoureverydaydet1

This winter we had an amazing weather, it was sunny almost all the time. We had a little snow only in February and it lasted only half a day… This year was quite unusual because winter here is usually colder and rainier with undoubtedly more snow. So I’ve made two layouts, one that shows an unusual blue sky and one with a picture taken during that half day of snow.  Supplies are again a mix of Studio Calico kits for both, plus embellishments from Amy Tangerine Stitched collection for the blue sky one and embellishments from Simple Stories I Am for the snowy one.

Me, my sister and Asian food

23iloveusdet2

My sister and I share the same love for Asian food, but we both work crazy hours so we rarely eat together. This picture was taken in one of those rare occasions, while having dinner at a local Japanese restaurant, it’s a bit unfocused but I like it anyway 🙂

For this layout I’ve used a mix of Studio Calico kits and products, I especially loved using the silkscreens, and also some bits and pieces from the Simple Stories I am collection (which is probably going to be my new favourite collection ever!)

Adventure and mouse ears

20adventuredet4

Two layouts to share today, both made mainly with Studio Calico Cirque kit and about my new job.  It’s been a few months now since I’ve started working in a new shop, and I can tell that there’s always something going on that makes the job more adventurous! For example one day I had to work with a front lamp, because the power in the underground storage room (which is huge and labyrinth-like) was out. For some of my colleagues it was only a nuisance, but I had so much fun, I felt like an explorer in a mysterious cave!  Another day we had to use the blue helmet in the photo, because there were some property renovations that turned our storage room in an underground construction site!

In this shop they like us to wear party accessories or to have an eccentric look in general. I totally love this, I like extravagance, so for the last weeks I’ve been working with… mouse ears!!! Here I am:

Ruffles and feathers

19hooraydet3

My aunt Luisa just celebrated her 60th birthday and my cousin threw a wonderful party for her, including a sort of photo booth with props and lots of feather boas and sequins. Here’s a layout with photos from the party. I’ve used paper from Studio Calico, word stickers and puffy stickers from Dear Lizzy Serendipity collection and photo frames from Heidi Swapp Memory planner collection. Then I added a ruffle made with crepe paper and some blue feather, just to stay on theme! I really love the look of this layout, it looks to me like it portrays exactly the spirit of my aunt’s party!

Milano

18milanodet1

As many other people I love to travel and to visit new countries, but sometimes we forget that there’s no need to travel to find beautiful places: this is my city main piazza and it looks stunning! For this page I’ve used paper from Crate Paper Kiss Kiss collection and flowers and alpha from Maggie Holmes
