Then and now: some things never really change

33Thenandnowdet3

This is me at 17 yr old, in 1999. There’s a specific reason why I totally love this picture: can you see what I’m doing? I have ear cuffs in my ears, plugged in the TV, and there’s a Blockbuster’s’ VHS on the table. Back then I was addicted to Blockbuster’s. I used to watch tons of movies. Now it’s 2015,  Blockbuster’s has ceased to exist but I still use my ear cuffs to watch an embarrassing number of TV-series on my laptop, there isn’t really that much difference, is there? See? I was born like that 🙂

For this layout I’ve used the Odyssey Studio Calico kit and some embellishment from I am collection by Simple Stories.

Cute as a cupcake

How cute was I at 1 yr old? This week I’ve used some photos from my box of childhood pictures and this one was taken on my first birthday with my aunt Luisa. It’s a little bent in the middle, but I like it anyway.

For this layout I’ve used a mix of old and new supplies: papers from Heidi Swapp and Dear Lizzy, embellishments from Studio Calico, Amy Tangerine  and Simple Stories.

Tarifa

I’ve been thinking about scrapping pictures from old travels for a long time, but it always feels too daunting: too many pictures, and most of them printed from film in a 5×7 format, meaning I would have to cut at least some of them and that I don’t have any backup. But I’ve finally given in and decided to give it a try. These first pictures are from a road trip to Spain in July 2001.

To make this layout I’ve used one 12×12 and two pocket pages, to include all the stories from Tarifa, one of the stops in the road trip. Supplies are from Studio Calico kits and Dear Lizzy Serendipity collection.
