India, land of wonder

77indialandofwonderdet1

In September I’ve been so lucky to fulfill one of my biggest dreams: I went to India for a two weeks tour!! It was a guided tour, and only for two weeks, so not that adventurous as I would have hoped, my family and friends refused to let me go alone, but still, I went to India!! I have hundreds of pictures waiting to be scrapped and this is just the first of many 😀 This one was a group shot taken in front of the Taj Mahal (yes, I’ve seen the Taj Mahal @_@)

For the layout I’ve used Pink Paislee’s Atlas collection, plus the white word ‘wonder’ from Amy Tangerine’s Finders Keepers collection and blue alphas from Crate Paper

The Story of the Washing Machine

76thestoryofthewashingmachinedet3

This is one of my favorite photos ever! It was taken on vacation in Salamanca in august 2004, when I almost killed the washing machine: I had accidentally poured 3/4 of a detergent bottle in the washing machine and I had to run it three times empty to get rid of all the foam! It was actually very fun, there was foam everywhere…

For the layout I’ve used the Summer Red Raspberry collection by Jillibean Soup, so cute and whimsical, and I loved the bubble sheet for this story!

Only Love Can Do That

75Onlylovecandothatdet2

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.” (Martin Luther King)

I’ve always been very fond of this quote and in the last days, after the terrorist attacks in Paris, it became quite current and it was all over the web and I kept reading it everywhere and so I decided to use it on a layout.

The color palette was inspired by the November Mood Board at Jot Magazine  , all yellow and pink, and it matched perfectly this photo of a candy heart kebab I’ve had in my photo box for a while, since Valentine’s day actually 🙂

Pink and yellow paper and die cuts are from Jillibean’s Summer Red Raspberry Soup, the gold washi from Dear Lizzy’s Documentary.

Up to no good

I’ve been wanting to use this quote from ‘Harry Potter’ as a title since I’ve started scrapbooking  and this selfie of my sister and me finally felt like the right photo! I don’t remember what we were up to when we took it, but judging by our looks nothing good at all ;P I love my little sister (and we both love Harry Potter)!

For the layout I’ve used Simple Stories’ I am collection, except for the yellow paper with tiny hearts that is Lawn Fawn .

Simply me

63Iamsimplymedet2

I’ve made other two layouts with Simple Stories I am collection: the first one is just about who I am, so I wrote down a list of adjectives that define me, and the second one is about a fine-needle aspiration biopsy to the thyroid that I did a couple of months ago (nothing too bad, but I was a little concerned about having a needle stuck into my throat).

The sun is up

And another picture of my sister at 6 yo playing on the beach. On the background my father is making a sand castle, something that he always liked to do when I was little and then again when my sister was little! This is the last layout I’ve made using Simple Stories’ Summer Vibes collection and photos from old summers.

It’s a perfect day

This layout shows my sister at 6 yo during one of our vacations. She was the cutest little girl ever, am I right?

Papers and embellishments are all from Simple Stories Summer Vibes collection except the wood buttons by Shimelle.
