It’s a perfect day

This layout shows my sister at 6 yo during one of our vacations. She was the cutest little girl ever, am I right?

Papers and embellishments are all from Simple Stories Summer Vibes collection except the wood buttons by Shimelle.

Hello Summer

Going on with summer memory lane: today layouts features one of the few pictures I have with my parents in my teens! In this photo I was 19 and on vacation in Tunisia with my parents and sister. Well, my sister’s not in the photo but she was somewhere around, she was 7, so she was probably playing with her friends!

For the layout I’ve used the Summer Vibes collection by Simple Stories, plus the gold hello pin from Dear Lizzy and a mason jar pocket by Crate Paper.

Here it is, another summery layout with Simple Stories’ Summer Vibes collection. In this layout you can see me at about 9 yo on a beach with my mother. I really had a super tan, something that seems so impossible now: I’ve stopped sun bathing in my teens, mostly because I can’t stand the heat, and I am always very pale, almost glow-in-the-dark pale!

Enjoy the simple life

After a couple of extremely busy weeks, I’m back today with a new layout with the gorgeous Summer Vibes collection by Simple Stories. As usual I love everything in their collections and feel compelled to buy every single piece, and this collection may just be one of my favorites ever. Since the vintage feel reminds me of my childhood (especially the audio cassettes and the soda’s bottles and caps) I’ve picked up some photos of summer past to match the feel! I will share all the layouts I’ve made in the next days.

In this layout you can see me, almost 3 yo, relaxing on a beach chair. I never get to use all those 2×2 squares that are included in the cut apart sheets, so this time I’ve decided to use them all and challenge myself to make something I usually don’t like and never do: a grid! And I must say I really like the result!

Venice mini album

It’s been a while since I’ve made a mini album, but it’s always fun to make them and they’re also cute to keep on the shelf! I For this one I’ve cut and sewed together a few sheets from Amy Tangerine’s Rise and Shine to make a little book and then used all the embellishments from the same collection. I was actually trying to use up all I had left of it (which was a lot)! The only leftovers now are most of the thickers, a couple of paper stripes and most of the washi book, so I think I can say ‘mission accomplished’.

So here it is, a mini album about a weekend in Venice: as you can see from the photos, on the first day I’ve visited Palazzo Ducale and its prison (walking through the notorious Bridge of Sighs), then took a guided tour of the city and later in the night took the vaporetto through Canal Grande; on the second day I mainly took a guided tour of three islands near Venice: Murano, Torcello and Burano, altough I didn’t see much of Murano and Torcello because the guide was more interested in taking us to shops of her choice then to places of touristic interest! At Burano I ditched the guide and had a lovely time ;P Now I’m looking forward to go again because two days were really not enough!!

(Click on the first picture to see it as a slideshow)

Aboard the vaporetto!

In Venice I took the vaporetto (Venice public transport on water) almost only to take pictures of Canal Grande; I did two trips, one by day and one by night, and I wasn’t disappointed at all with the result: the weather was great and all the photos look amazing!

For this page I’ve used papers from Dear Lizzy’s Fine and Dandy collection, thickers from Amy Tangerine’s Rise and Shine and… embellishment from My Mind’s Eye ‘s Market Street… I’ve had this collection lying around for over a year now and never got a chance to use it, but it’s so pretty, I must found some use for it! Anyway I’ve used some of the chipboard pieces and a badge on this layout, It’s a start I guess…

I must say I love this mint/pink/red/gold combo!!

I’ll be back on Wednesday with a mini album about my weekend in Venice, stay tuned!
